40 Development Assets Workshops
Search Institute (www.search-institute.org)
has surveyed over 2 million youth across the
United States and Canada since 1989. Researchers have
learned about their experiences, attitudes, behaviors, and the
number of developmental assets at work for these young people.
Developmental Assets are positive experiences and personal
qualities that young people need, to grow up to become healthy,
caring and responsible adults.
Studies reveal strong and consistent relationships
between the number of assets present in young peoples lives and the
degree to which they develop in positive and healthful ways
